Last week in math the 3Js were focusing on perimeter of larger areas, and they had a project to complete. Groups of 2 or 3 had to work together to estimate, measure, calculate and record the perimeter of 2 different rooms or hallways around the school. After they were done, groups that measured the same area had a meeting to compare their measurements and calculations. If they were quite similar, GREAT! If not and they couldn’t agree or figure out which perimeter was wrong, then both groups went back to try it again together.
