The Christmas Season is upon us, and we needed to get our classroom into the holiday spirit! The 3Js had to work in their groups to problem solve and come up with a plan to figure out how many paper garland rings it would take to span various parts of the room that needed decorating (plus an extra 2-3 to make it hang nicely). To begin with, each group got a meter stick, sample (purple) paper and their booklets for making calculations. Once they convinced me that their plan would work, they got their Christmas coloured paper for creating their garland. Now our room looks bright, cheerful, and ready for the final two weeks of school before the holiday break!
