The 3Js have been working really hard on their addition and subtraction skills to 1000 over the past several weeks. We’re getting really good, but those are just skills. Now we have to be able to put those skills into action and have a deep understanding for when we need to add and (or) subtract! After looking at what makes a good problem (easy to read and understand, interesting, clear question being asked, etc.), partners worked together to make an addition and a subtraction problem. If the questions made sense and they were able to complete it correctly themselves, they added their problems to a shared google doc so that Ms.J could create a booklet for the entire class.
