Today the 2Js completed their first big Data Analysis project in math. Ms.J emailed each student a link to a Google Form in which they could edit and add their own question, something they really wanted to know about. Each student also had to give five multiple choice options to choose from. Once that was completed, Ms.J emailed them the finished form and everyone completed it. Students were given the results from their own question in the form of a spreadsheet. They used it to tally their results, create a bar graph to show that information, and finally (most students by the end of class) were able to share something they had learned from asking their question. Everyone else will finish analyzing their graphs tomorrow. Below is a slideshow of students working on their projects, as well as their finished data sheets. Some students chose to do theirs on a Google Drawing template with their Chromebooks, while others opted to do it with paper, pencil and crayons. Finally, at the very bottom of our blog post is the complete 2J survey form that we all created for our project today. We’d LOVE it if you would complete it so we can look at our results tomorrow! Don’t forget to click the “Submit” button at the very end of the form!
