Yesterday the 2Js searched articles on the internet to tell us various items that use magnets. We created a Google doc and added 6 items (with photos to help us remember) to our list. Before class ended, students got to choose one item to research in a group in order to teach the rest of the class how the magnet works on that particular device. Today the students got into their groups and looked for information. They worked together to come up with a simple explanation, and everyone did a GREAT job! Below is a slideshow of the groups at work as well as the information they shared with the rest of the class. Now we know some different ways that magnets are used in the real world!
