Revisiting Visualization – Ellison the Elephant

The 2Js listened to a read aloud titled Ellison the Elephant the other day. (Click the link to watch the read aloud video.)  We reviewed why making mental images in our heads when reading is such an important and useful strategy!  As they listened, the students visualized then drew pictures to show their understandings and knowledge for the beginning, middle and ending of the story.  Below are some examples of student work.
