Absorbency Tests

In Science class today, the 2Js predicted and then tested the absorbency of a whole bunch materials. They learned that absorbent materials allowed a liquid to soak in, and that water would just sit on top of non-absorbent materials.

2Js, please leave a comment telling everyone what some ABSORBENT materials were that we tested!

  1. Hi 2J,

We also did this experiement. We learned that a coffee filter, cardboard, newspaper, cloth and a sponge all absorb liquids.

We also learned that saran wrap, tin foil, plastic and metal are all waterproof. We think it is neat to see that your class is learning about liquids too!

    Happy learning and have fun!

    From,
    2M
