In the morning after agendas and Read to Self, the 2Js have a morning meeting that includes calendar, weather and math components. I am LOVING the creativity that the students are coming up with in their math; they are really having fun with it!
The helper rolls two 10-sided dice to generate a “Number of the Day”, for which the students have to create an addition and subtraction expression. Today our Number of the Day was 92. Below is a slideshow of the students with their expressions, and you can see how they are keeping Ms.J on her toes! Also included are photos of different ways some students made 92 cents in the piggy bank.
