Oliver Button Is a Sissy

The 2Js have been continuing to work on the comprehension strategy, Inferring. Today we read the book Oliver Button Is a Sissy by Tomie dePaola. Whenever I share this book as a read aloud, I am always so surprised at how the students get involved and want to discuss and predict and analyze. I am moved at how my kids are moved by Oliver, and how they quietly cheer so hard for him. There is so much to think about in Oliver Button Is a Sissy, and I love the different messages our children come away with.
