Writing Good Stories

In writing class the 2Js learned what items a good story needs; that a good story needs a lot of different pieces that are put together like a puzzle. We each made story maps about any topic we chose to show that we could come up with all the pieces that go together to make a good story. We then shared our ideas with a partner. Below are some examples of the graphic organizers we completed to show our ideas and story parts.

  1. The story maps really make me want to read more. It looks like students are doing a great job! When I was a teacher in Edmonton, writing was one of my favourite things because students wrote such awesome stories! I hope Max will read his story to me (I am Max’s grandmother).

    • Thank you for reading and commenting on our class blog! I think it is so neat that Max and his grandma can connect about what he is learning about and working on at school!
