Unifix Cube Graphing and Problem Solving

In math class today we continued on with our Data Analysis unit.  Each student was given a large handful of multi-coloured unifix cubes.  Students were asked to create their own tally chart, record how many cubes they had of the various colours, and graph their results.  At the end of their project they also had to analyze their graphs to solve some problems, such as “What colour did you have the MOST of?” and “How many GREEN AND YELLOW cubes did you have?”.  As a class our skills and understandings in this area are getting very strong!
